can u please make me the serenity prayer on just the paper? i dont want the scroll......and if so how much would that be? thank u! aimee

I suppose that means you want it done with a portrait mount (something you could either frame, or I guess you would put it on your wall with thumbtacks or other means).

This could look something like this:



This costs $13 less than a wall scroll mount. We don't offer calligraphy on raw unmounted xuan paper, as this would leave you with a wrinkle-prone mess that you would not be able to frame.

You are lucky I saw your email. Please keep your questions on the forum, as I get swamped with spam, and rarely am able to sort and find all of the legit emails.

We can go with a Jumbo size, which gets you a portrait measuring almost 5 feet by 31 inches. You need to select the jumbo sized option, and 4 columns of characters to maximize size. This will cost over $100 as it must be done by a master calligrapher, and postage costs are crazy with this size.

I don't want to make decisions for you. There are literally about a thousand different possible combinations of language, calligrapher, paper color, silk color, mounting, inner silk frame, accent lines, fancy gold panels, and speed you want it delivered.

You should go here first, and decide if you want it in Chinese or Japanese:

The cheapest option for a portrait mount would be $56.88 (for this in Chinese and written by our economy calligrapher).

HI GARY, SORRY ABOUT THAT, EMAIL. OK HERE IS WHAT I WOULD LIKE TO ORDER......THE SERENITY PRAYER WITH BACKING AS WE TALKED ABOUT, NO LARGER THAN 30" BY 15". CAN YOU PLEASE SEND ME AN INVOICE FOR THAT?

I guess I could find a way to create an invoice (not something I normally do - so I would need to work on that).

However, I still don't know if you want this in Japanese or Chinese, which calligrapher you want to you, the texture and color of paper you want, the color of the silk border, the number of columns you want for your calligraphy, if you want an inscription added, and many other options.

I suggest you go here and select the version of the Serenity Prayer you want:

Then select your calligrapher.

After that you will see our customization/options page.

If you need a special size, please put that note under the "special instructions tab".
Note that you need to specify whether your measurements are for the calligraphy panel (paper) or the outside edges of the silk border.

Example: The standard width of the calligraphy panel is just under 13". The standard width at the outside edges of the silk border is just under 17".

HI GARY,
TOO MANY OPTIONS......!!! I WOULD LIKE IT DONE IN CHINESE WITH THE ECONOMY CALLIGRAPHER. I AM LOOKING FOR THE CHEAPEST WAY TO POSSIBLY DO THIS!!! I DONT WANT THE SILK JUST THE PAPER WITH THE SERENITY PRAYER IN CHINESE. AND WHATEVER BACKING YOU HAVE TO PUT ON IT. I AM NOT SURE HOW TO GO THROUGH THE ORDERING PROCESS BECAUSE IT DOSENT HAVE A SPOT WHERE U CAN SKIP THE SILK BACKROUND!! THE CHEAPEST PAPER IS FINE. THE STANDARD WIDTH OF JUST UNDER 13" WOULD BE GREAT! AND APPROX 25" IN LENGTH WOULD BE FINE. IM GONNA NEED YOUR HELP ON THIS ORDER PLEASE! VERY CONFUSING! HELP ME OUT HERE, I TRUST YOUR ADVICE! AND I WOULD LIKE TO ORDER SOON, THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT TO ME AND IM VERY EXCITED THAT I FOUND SOMEONE THAT IS ABLE AND WILLING TO DO THIS!!

P.S. THE EXAMPLE IN THE FEW EMAILS ABOVE LOOKS GREAT! THAT IS PRETTY MUCH WHAT I AM LOOKING FOR MINUS THE SILK BACKROUND! AND NO INSCRIPTION

Just put "no silk border" in the special instructions tab. That silk border could save you a ton of money on matting if you end up framing this. I think you are the second person in seven years to request no silk (so adding that option is not really warranted).
