Shadow Karate-Do Print

Unryu Paper

This is a thin sheet of unryu (cloud dragon) paper against a dark background. The dark background serves to amplify the white fibers that give this paper its unique look. As artwork in real life, unryu has a slightly 3D effect with the coarse white fibers embedded throughout - but this is very hard to relay in a photograph.

This is the title Karate-Do in Japanese Kanji with shadows of famous karate moves in the background. It's hard to capture just how cool this wall scroll is via a tiny image on the internet. But your satisfaction is guaranteed, so I will buy it back with a full refund if you are not delighted.

I created this fine art giclee print on a special handmade unryu paper (which is also known as "Dragon Cloud" paper). Although impossible to photograph, in real life, you will see many white fibers embedded in this handmade paper. I love the way this print came out - and I love unryu paper. I just wish photography would do it justice - you gotta see this in person to appreciate it.

I am experimenting with different designs and papers, so each one that I create is unique.

I can also make one custom to your specifications - just contact me.
