馬到成功

Black Ink Galloping Horse

This painting is an homage to the work and style of Xu Beihong a famous Chinese horse artist who passed away in 1953, but whose horse paintings are still admired and sold at auction for upwards of $100,000.

The Chinese title, 馬到成功, means "Where there are horses, there is success" or "When horses arrive, success follows."

After the title, the inscription is 丁酉年任放畫 which includes the year painted (2017) in a special ancient way along with "Ren Fang painted" which is the artist's signature (like saying "painted by Ren Fang").
