Quiet Life in the Pine Mountains

This beautiful Chinese landscape painting features a waterfall in the background with boats and fishermen in the river alone with a path to a little house in the foreground.

The title, 松山幽居 (Sōng shān yōu jū) translates as, "Pine Mountains Secluded Residence." That's a direct translation, so it reads more poetically in the original Chinese. A better translation might be, "Quiet life in the pine mountains."

This is a great large painting for a restaurant, or behind your sofa.

This was painted by 楊百敬 (Yang Bai-Jing) in the Autumn of 2011. I only met Mr. Yang briefly and did not get much information about him, unfortunately.
