Quiet Life at the River and Mountains
This beautiful Chinese landscape painting features a huge waterfall in the background with a wild rushing river and a little house in the foreground.
The title, 溪山幽居 (Xī shān yōu jū) translates as, "Creek/River Mountains Secluded Residence." That's a direct translation, so it reads more poetically in the original Chinese. A better translation might be, "Quiet life on the river in the mountain's shadow."
This is a great large painting for a restaurant, or behind your sofa.
This was painted by 楊百敬 (Yang Bai-Jing) in the Autumn of 2011. I only met Mr. Yang briefly and did not get much information about him, unfortunately.
